MBH Energy was the first company of the MBHE Group to be established, and has been in operation since 1996. Today the Group has expanded in its technology and services offering, to encompass various technologies, including technologies in biomass, biogas, solar photovoltaic and waste-to-energy.
Through this, MBHE has established itself as a holistic energy services company, which focuses on renewable energy project development, as well as design, implementation and ownership of operational energy assets that lead to sustainability and cleaner production.
With our head office based in Centurion, South Africa, MBHE has also expanded its footprint into Africa, with operations in Mozambique, Namibia, Uganda and Zambia. We are currently looking to expand this with a new venture in Malawi.

MBHE Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
A big focus for the future of general commerce and industry in South Africa is not only energy saving, but rather security of supply. The cost of loss of production often outweighs the energy savings alone. It is with this in mind that MBHE has placed a critical focus on battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid energy solutions.
The BESS system reduces consumer utility bills through peak shaving and arbitrage and are fully integrated with the client’s Battery Management System and Solar Monitoring Platforms. We are focused on providing hybrid solutions as the next step towards sustainability for our clients in the commercial and industrial sector.
